Note:
Be careful with the accent. “Πότε” means “when”, “ποτέ” means “never”.
How to tell the time:
“The time is hour plus/minus minutes” –> Η ώρα είναι οχτώ και τέταρτο. (08:15)
Compare:
a)
-Τι ώρα είναι;
(What time is it?)
-Είναι εννιά.
(It’s nine.) (or simply “Εννιά”)
b)
-Τι ώρα έχεις μάθημα;
(When do you have a lesson?) (At what time? + activity)
-Στις εννιά.
(At nine.)
Note:
We use “στις” for all the hours except “one”, where we use “στη”.
