Although “πού” is a monosyllabic word, it takes an accent to differentiate it from the pronoun “που”.
Note:
Από πού; means “where from”. We reply “από τ…”, never “από στ..”. “Στ…”, for example στο, στη, στον, στους etc is a contraction of the preposition σε and the definite article. Since we already have a preposition (από) we don’t need a second one.
